Poker Hand Order. Are you nto sure on what beats what in poker, the image above can be of great value to you. The image shows there are ten kind of combinations you can make in Texas Hold’em Poker. No matter which cards you hold in your hand and which the board will show, you will always make one of these ten hands. One Pair: To make a one pair means having two cards of the same rank in your five-card poker hand, with three other cards being unpaired. For example, K- K- J- 9- 8 would be a one pair hand. Once again, if two or more players have the same pair, the player with the highest kicker will be the winner. How To Play Hand Ranking THE DECK. There are 52 cards in a deck, divided into four suits of 13 ranks each. The suits are all of equal value - no suit is higher than any other suit. In Poker, the Ace is the highest card and the 2 card (Deuce) is the lowest. However, the Ace can also be used as a low card, with the value of 1. Standard Poker Hand Ranking.
